Join us for our first travel lunch club
We’re very excited to announce that we’ve partnered with independent, family-owned travel business Moxley & Co to launch a travel lunch club – and you’re all invited to join.
On Wednesday 5 March, we’ll be hosting our first event where Major Paul Whittle, vice chair of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Society, will provide his specialist insight into Darjeeling and its mountain railways over a delightful three-course lunch.
Guests will be able to choose from starters such as Jerusalem artichoke with sour cream and chive; venison chilli con carne; and smoked salmon with dashi, seaweed and tapioca cracker, all cooked by our brilliant chefs. Mains will include braised Jacob’s ladder beef, stone bass with a beautiful sherry beurre blanc, or a delightful chicory tarte tatin.
To finish off, desserts on the menu range from Granny Smith with tonka bean, candy floss and limoncello ice cream; honey, lemon and white chocolate; or Baron Bigod cheese with sourdough, hazelnut and Braeburn.
The event will start at 12pm with a sparkling wine reception and tickets are £75 per person, including bubbles on arrival, lunch, wine, and of course tea and coffee afterwards.
We’re sure this event will be popular, numbers are limited, and you won’t be able to book online for this intimate event, so secure your place as soon as you can by calling one of our team on 01494 671315, mentioning that you’re booking for the travel lunch club.
We’ll be holding four of these very special lunches over the year and have an amazing line-up of speakers already set to wow guests with their expert knowledge on a range of travel-related subjects.
