Our story

The Greyhound is a Grade II listed 17th century former coaching inn in the heart of Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

The moment we saw the building we fell in love with it. We knew that this old coaching inn could be the venue where we realised our dreams of having our own restaurant.

Fast forward a year and we have built something we are really proud of.

Having worked in many of the UK’s most established restaurants, we’ve picked up some fantastic experiences on our way. We wanted to bring the best of this to our own place.

We teamed up with a brilliant designer to give the place a lift, modernising parts of it while restoring some of its original features in others.

We’ve spent a long time agonising over every little detail to make sure it’s right for us and our guests. From the cutlery to the wallpaper, we’ve tried to make the pub and restaurant as comfortable as possible, making the most of small, independent and local suppliers wherever possible.

We have outdoor seating available for al fresco drinking and dining between May and September.

Also, we have been incredibly fortunate to find a talented team of chefs who really understand our vision. We all have a clear idea of where we want to be and are striving to do what we can to get there. We want to make The Greyhound the best restaurant in Beaconsfield and one of the best restaurants in the UK.

We look forward to seeing you.
