FAQs

Can I just come for a drink?

Of course, the bar is open from Tuesday to Saturday 12pm - 3pm and 6.30pm-10.30pm.

Do you work with any local suppliers?

Yes, and we are always on the lookout for more. We currently work with the team at Windsor and Eton Brewery, Toad Gin from Oxford, and Twelve Below Tonic who are based in Buckinghamshire.

Can we bring children?

Children are welcome here but please note we don’t have any high chairs or changing facilities.

We don’t have a specific children’s menu, however they are welcome to have smaller portions of some dishes.

Due to the space in our dining room we cannot accommodate prams or pushchairs.

During dinner service, we advise that younger guests are aged 12 or older.

Are dogs welcome?

We love our fluffy friends and welcome them in the summer months on our outside dining and drinking terrace. In the wintertime we welcome dogs in our bar area for dining and drinking.

Is The Greyhound accessible?

We are keen to welcome everyone at The Greyhound. However, the restaurant is a former 17th century inn and is Grade II listed, so we were limited in the changes we could make and by the space available. We have worked hard to make the most of it, creating a WC accessible to all, including people who are less able to walk and people who use small indoor wheelchairs. We will also be happy to give any help wanted. There are some restrictions on space, so please get in touch for more information.

Is there parking available?

There is a large public car park outside the pub and restaurant where parking is free. We can not guarantee empty spaces.

Do you take reservations?

Absolutely! Please use our booking system above or call us on 01494 671315 to reserve your table.

How does your tasting menu work?

Where do you get your produce from?

We are always looking at where we source our produce to ensure that we get the best quality ingredients for our chefs to use. We use products from across the British Isles.

Is there corkage?

How does your booking system and cancellation policy work?

There is a £35 per person fee during lunch and £70 per person for dinner if you fail to show up for your reservation or if you cancel within the 24 hours of your reservation.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

We endeavour to meet most dietary requirements, including vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan and gluten-free, but ask that you inform us of these at the time of booking.

Modern British

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Gift vouchers are available with a nominal value only and are valid for 12 months after the day of purchase. These can be used at anytime, are non-transferable and you must present the voucher in order for it to be validated. You can purchase the voucher via our website.

Can I come beforehand for a drink?

We have a lovely inside and outside area where we invite guests to come for a drink. Please give us a call so we can reserve you a table.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before your reservation (please remember that the bar opens from 12pm-3pm and then reopens at 6.30pm-10.30pm).
