School visit | Mother’s Day | Eve’s apprenticeship
You may have seen that we recently had some students in from Pipers Corner School at the restaurant. We love firing a passion for hospitality in the next generation and showing them what amazing career paths and opportunities it can lead to, and we firmly believe giving them a taste of a real-life hospitality environment is a great way to spark that.
Speaking of which, we’re super proud of Eve who has just completed her Level 2 commis chef qualification with apprenticeship provider HIT Training – and not only that, but she also got a distinction! Please join us in wishing Eve a huge congratulations for her achievement and hard work.
Don’t forget to vote for us in the 2026 Harden's restaurant survey before 25 March – search for 'The Greyhound - HP9' and tell them how you'd rate our food, ambience and service based on your dining experience with us.
Meanwhile, don’t forget it’s Mother’s Day coming up, so if you’re looking for a great way to say a big thank you, you can book a table or buy a voucher with the promise of a fantastic meal and an amazing experience for someone special in your life.
And finally, we hope you all enjoyed this brilliant photo on our Instagram from our team Christmas party – given how busy the festive period is for hospitality, it’s a longstanding sector tradition to have a work Christmas party in the New Year. The whole team had a great night out at our local bowling alley with lots of laughs and even a few strikes!
