Jermaine | New Menu | Katie

We’re back! Following a short break to give our team a well-earned rest, we’re back open and can’t wait to see you all.

With a new year also comes new menus: chef Jermaine’s been getting creative in the kitchen and is coming up with some delicious, seasonal dishes including cuttlefish ragout with black olive, smoked harissa and lemon; roasted venison loin with crapaudine beetroot and pickled fennel; and baked Alaska with apple, cardamom and lime leaves – perfect for a Valentine’s Day dinner date with a special someone. Give us a call and get yourself booked in.

Speaking of Jermaine, did you see he was recently featured in Chef magazine? Check out page 52 where he talks about being inspired by the seasons, drawing on his own experience to welcome apprentices into the kitchen and showcasing lesser-known fish on the menu to be more sustainable.

Congratulations are also due to Katie Foster, who started working with us as a junior waiter in 2022 and has this month been promoted to head junior waiter – congratulations Katie!

Meanwhile, last month, we spoke to the Morning Advertiser’s Lock In podcast about providing a stellar welcome to our four-legged friends. We love welcoming canine guests and want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible, so since last year we dedicated a space in the restaurant for tables with dogs – complete with complimentary biscuits and water bowls, of course.

Another of our special guests is Nicki, one of our regulars who is currently one of a three-woman team rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. They’re well on their way now and are still fundraising for two local charities, Thames Hospice and the DASH Charity, so please help push the team on with a little donation if you can.
