We’ve been named as the ‘One to Watch’ in the Top 50 Gastropubs awards

We are incredibly proud to announce that our pub and restaurant has been named as the ‘One to Watch’ in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs awards.

Announced on Friday evening, The Greyhound was highlighted as the most promising establishment in the UK.

Voted by industry peers, the awards recognise the best Gastropubs from across the country, including many Michelin starred establishments.

Despite opening in 2019, our pub and restaurant, which is based in Beaconsfield Old Town, has only traded for seven months due to the pandemic.

Daniel Crump, our co-proprietor, said: “We are incredibly proud to have won this award after being open for such a short space of time.

“The Top 50 Gastropub awards are incredibly prestigious and winning the ‘One to Watch’ really highlights the efforts of the whole team over the course of a year nobody would ever have imagined. To be amongst the best restaurants in the country is really some achievement.”

“We are delighted to have picked this award up and hope we can kick on and keep improving. We’ve always said, we want to create something our local area can be proud of. We hope this is the first step on that journey.”

Margriet Vandezande-Crump added: “We are so pleased to have won this award. It’s safe to say that the last year has been tough on so many levels but this award is testament to what we’ve been able to achieve alongside our Beaconsfield and wider Buckinghamshire community.

“Ever since we opened, we’ve been blown away by the support of our guests and can’t wait to celebrate this award with them when we reopen on 14th April.”
