Christmas at The Greyhound

Our festive lunch menu is now on the website and what a treat you’ve got in store! Available from Tuesday 2 December until Tuesday 30 December, you can choose between starters such as chestnut mushroom and truffle tarte fine, chicken liver parfait and smoked salmon.
 
For the main event, we’ve got a classic four bird roast, as well as roasted butternut with ancient grains, sage and pumpkin seed pesto, or poached cod with Champagne Beurre Blanc and Avruga caviar. Meanwhile, to round it all off, we’ve got a baked Alaska with dark chocolate and cherry ice cream, Douglas fir mousse with meringue and apple sorbet, or a very special cheese board selection.
 
It’s great value for money at just £45 for two courses or £55 for three courses, and even if you can’t make it for the lunch, the dishes will be available to order from our evening à la carte menus.
 
We’re also going to be putting on a special tasting lunch menu on New Year’s Eve so do drop us a line if you're interested!
 
And more great news – we’ve added two exceptional opening days to our usual schedule, on Sunday 21 December and Monday 22 December, to make sure we can fit everyone in and that nobody misses out.
 
We’ll then be closing 24-26 December for Christmas, after which we’ll be open again on Saturday 27 December every day until and including New Year’s Eve. We’ll then be closed between Thursday 1 January and Monday 12 January to give the team a well-earned rest.
