Rioja with Jascot Wines | Natalie's RACA Award | Le Soula Wine Dinner

Supporting the Beaconsfield Country Fair

We're delighted to be supporting this year's Beaconsfield Country Fair, taking place on Monday 31 August in Windsor End, Beaconsfield Old Town. We'll be opening the bar on the day, with all proceeds going towards supporting local charities.

Admission is free, so come along, enjoy the day and raise a glass with us while supporting some great local causes.

A Trip to Rioja with Jascot Wine Merchants

Recently, Margriet and Hannah enjoyed a trip to Rioja, Spain, with Jascot Wine Merchants, a trip filled with history, tradition and, of course, some seriously good wine.

Led by their guide, Ana, they toured Bodegas Ramón Bilbao, one of the region's most celebrated wineries. Founded in 1924 by Ramón Bilbao Murga, an experienced wine trader who had been selling wine since 1896, the bodega has grown into one of Rioja's most respected names.

Trips like these matter to us. Getting to know our suppliers and their craft first-hand means we can bring that knowledge straight to your table.

Congratulations to Natalie: A Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Award for Our Award-Winning Restaurant Staff

As a fine dining restaurant in Beaconsfield, we're incredibly proud of our team, and we're delighted to share that our head waiter, Natalie, has been named an Achiever in the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts' Annual Awards of Excellence, marking our third consecutive year with an award winner on the team.

Natalie was recognised after completing a series of practical and theoretical assessments covering food, wine and beverage knowledge, classical service techniques, table presentation, guest care, and problem-solving under pressure.

This year's achievers represent some of the UK's most celebrated names in hospitality, including The Ritz, The Fat Duck, Sketch and Gleneagles Hotel, placing Natalie firmly among some of the very best in the country.

Huge congratulations, Natalie. A brilliant achievement, and a well-deserved one.

Our Upcoming Wine Dinner in Beaconsfield: An Evening with Le Soula

Our next wine dinner is coming up on Wednesday 2nd September at 7pm, themed around Le Soula, one of the most exciting names to come out of the Eastern Pyrenees. It's one of our favourite restaurant events in September, and a great excuse for an evening out in Buckinghamshire.

Founded by wine merchants Roy Richards and Mark Walford, and inspired by renowned winemaker Gérard Gauby, Le Soula has become known for wines of real purity and individuality, grown across high-altitude, biodynamic vineyards in the Fenouillèdes.

The dinner is priced at £150 per person and includes a four-course curated menu paired with a flight of wines from Le Soula, followed by coffee. We've got a fabulous menu lined up, including a main of venison loin with roscoff oignon, pomme purée and sauce grand veneur.

We'll also be joined by one of the winemakers from Le Soula, who will talk us through the wines and their pairings. It's set to be a great evening, and we hope to see you there.

Send us an email at info@greyhoundbeaconsfield.co.uk or give us a call on 01494 671315 to book your table.
