Spring planting | Happy Easter | Composting

Now that it really does feel like spring has arrived, we’ve been busy getting the garden ready. We’ve planted a huge variety of flowers and herbs, from lemon verbena, sorrel and hyssop to basil, chamomile and allium, and even some red amaranth.

This not only means we’ll have plenty of our own home-grown herbs to use in the kitchen, but we’re going to have plenty of colourful plants and flowers brightening up our outdoor space for you to enjoy when the warmer months roll around.

We’ve also got a new compost section. While we do all we can to keep waste to a minimum, we also know the journey to making our operations more sustainable is never really ‘finished’, and this is our latest project towards being as eco-friendly as possible.

Expanding our composting means anything we aren’t able to use in the kitchen goes towards fertilising our soil and nourishing our garden for next year, rather than going in the bin. Seeing it this way also helps us be more mindful about how we can improve and waste even less.

We can’t wait to reopen our al fresco terrace next month for you to see what we’ve been up to, and you’ll be the first to know when we’re able to confirm a date for reopening – just watch this space.

Until then, wishing you all a lovely Easter and we look forward to seeing you soon!
