Rohit's semi-finals | Surrey uni visit | Christmas break
Head waiter Rohit is on quite a roll – you might remember that he achieved the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ Annual Awards of Excellence earlier this year.
Now he’s only gone and made it to the semi-finals of the Gold Service Scholarship, a prestigious competition for young front-of-house professionals in food and beverage service.
He’ll be heading down to London tomorrow, competing with industry colleagues from the likes of the Ritz London, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, the Savoy Grill and Claridge’s, so please keep everything crossed for him and join us in wishing him well!
Meanwhile, Dan’s been on the move too, speaking to Surrey hospitality and tourism management students recently on the subject of gastronomic recognition and awards.
He's so passionate about sharing some of the tips and advice people have given him during his career journey with others on this same path. And we firmly believe the hospitality sector is the most rewarding, fulfilling and engaging sector out there and want to encourage young people to consider it as a career choice.
If you're still in need of some Christmas gift inspiration, don't forget we have vouchers available to ensure a friend or family member has an exceptional, award-winning dining experience to look forward to in 2025.
And lastly, a reminder that we’ll be open next month until 21 December before reopening between 27 and 31 December – including Sunday 29 and Monday 30 December, the only Sunday and Monday we’ll be open this year. Lots of you often ask about whether we’re open on a Sunday or Monday. Well, now’s your chance!
