Father’s Day | wine dinner | Podcast appearance

We’ve been out and about a lot recently – for starters, Dan was featured on the Drive for Service podcast, talking about what it takes to be a Master of Culinary Arts and why hospitality is the best industry in the world. You can give episode 17 a watch and listen on YouTube and Spotify or search ‘Drive for Service’.

We were also invited back to talk to some of the students at Newlands Girls’ School in Maidenhead about the amazing opportunities our incredible industry has to offer. The students were so engaged, polite and interested, it was a real pleasure to discuss with them all things hospitality - one of the students even drew a picture of us!

We hosted our latest wine dinner last week with Domaine Grosbois, a biodynamic mixed farm and vineyard in France’s beautiful Loire Valley. We’ve got plenty more in the pipeline so keep your eyes on our Instagramand newsletter – our wine dinners are incredibly popular and sell out very quickly!

Speaking of family – Father’s Day is coming up quick and we reckon a voucher to dine with us to the value of your choosing is the perfect way to spoil a man in your life.

Is he the artistic sort? Even better. We mentioned in our last newsletter that we’ve got a new collection of artworks by Varvara Neiman displayed in our main dining room. But did you know we also have a new collection by another local artist, Gabby Harman, in our downstairs restaurant space?

Her landscape, floral and still life paintings are inspired by her daily life, travels abroad, walking her dogs, driving around the local countryside or simply from one of her great loves – her garden. Given how much we love our garden and growing our own produce, we obviously love Gabby’s work and thought she was the perfect choice for our latest installation. Come on down to have a look at her fantastic pieces!
