Wine dinners | Instagram takeover | KP of the month

Thanks so much to everyone who came to our Little Beauty wine dinner earlier this week – it was an incredible event, and we hope you all enjoyed the amazing food as well as the brilliant wines we got to try of course.

If you’re a follower of the Staff Canteen you may also have seen our Instagram takeover – if you missed it, never fear! We kicked off what was a very busy lunch service with a tour of the building and garden, offered a peek into the kitchen behind-the-scenes, and showcased Jermaine’s skills plating up a beautiful Buckinghamshire roe deer dish. And you definitely can’t miss this video of sous chef George flambéeing apple vodka that goes with our baked Alaska.

We wanted to give our incredible kitchen porter Alex a shout out, who was named a ‘KP of the month’ by Hospitality and Catering News. We wouldn’t have a restaurant without our brilliant kitchen porters, so we’re absolutely delighted that the work Alex does has been recognised.

Alex is a great example of someone who comes to work with a great attitude and is always willing to assist in whatever needs to be done to make sure the chefs and front of house have what they need to do their job. We’re really proud of him. Congratulations Alex!

And we certainly couldn’t sign off without equally recognising all the amazing women that work at the Greyhound following International Women’s Day this month – they make sure the restaurant runs smoothly every day and are key members of the team.
