Al fresco drinking | King’s coronation | Nominate The Greyhound
Having been named one of the country’s best beer gardens last year, we’ve spent the winter months investing in making our terrace even better and we’re very much looking forward to reopening for al fresco drinking and dining on 2 May.
It’s just in time for our new lunch menu full of fresh spring produce with dishes including a crayfish cocktail with rainbow radish, sea purslane and Buckinghamshire pork chop; baby artichoke with pickled onion; and a Norfolk treacle tart with clotted cream ice cream.
We’ve also recently added Windsor & Eton brewery’s ‘Return of the King’ ale on tap to our drinks menu to celebrate King Charles III’s coronation in the coming weeks. Created in the heart of Windsor, it’s 100% organic – the perfect way to toast our new monarch.
However, if wine is more your tipple, we’ve got a treat in store for you – we will be hosting an intimate dinner on 20 June to celebrate English Wine Week. It’s important to us to be celebrating and supporting local producers and Chapel Down in Kent is England’s leading wine producer, who we’re delighted to be partnering with. Give us a call on 01494 671315 to secure your place – spaces are limited.
Speaking of events, as you know Dan’s incredibly passionate about encouraging new talent. Earlier this month, he took part in an Arena hospitality networking event talking about service and leading a team to hundreds of rising stars within the sector to help them develop their careers in hospitality. If you know any young people who have a passion for food and looking after people, let us know.
And by the way, if you happen to think we’re among Beaconsfield’s best restaurants, don’t forget to give us a nomination for The Good Food Guide’s 2023 Best Local Restaurant Awards – there’s a chance to win a £250 restaurant voucher in it for you!
We look forward to seeing you very soon.
