Get to know Andrius | Pipers Corner School | 2016 Côte Rotie

Despite the unseasonably cold start to the month, spring has now definitely sprung and our garden is coming along nicely ready to reopen for some al fresco drinking and dining from May.

This month, we popped into Pipers Corner School in High Wycombe to talk to the Years 9 and 10 students about careers in high-end hospitality. It was a great experience to meet such a lovely group of students who had a genuine interest in our amazing industry.

Three of their students also came to Beaconsfield to do work experience at the restaurant - Martha, Laura and Rosie had a great time spending a few hours with the chefs in the kitchen helping prep for a lunch service.

While they got their first hands-on experience in an operational commercial kitchen and picked up skills that will help them in their final assessment at school, we were able to show them what working at the best restaurant in Buckinghamshire looks like day-to-day, the opportunities our amazing industry can offer and hopefully inspire them to pursue a career in hospitality and be the chefs of the future. Take a little look at how they got on here.

And finally, we know you love getting to know our brilliant team, and although many of you will know Andrius, who has been with us at The Greyhound since we opened, we wanted to give you the chance to find out more about our newly promoted restaurant manager.

Find out what Andrius told us when we put him in the hot seat.

We look forward to seeing you very soon.
