It feels like Spring is nearly with us, and we loved seeing so many of you celebrating Valentine’s Day with us this month – we hope you enjoyed our menu and that we were able to make your day extra special.
We’ve also got some excellent news to share with you – we’ve got three promotions to announce!
Andrius, who used to work with us at the Oxford Blue and has been with The Greyhound since we opened, has been appointed our new restaurant manager.
Lauren has also been promoted to head waiter after having been with us for nearly two years while, in the kitchen, we’ve promoted Vitor to a new junior sous chef position.
We’re also going to be putting on training sessions for our team members this month on cheese. Feel free to ask them about it to see how much they remember!
Supporting our team to be the best that they can be is one of our core values, and these three are brilliant examples to any youngsters looking to enter our great sector. If you want to progress and have a passion for making people happy, there is no better sector than hospitality.
Speaking of which, we will soon be heading to another local school to give a talk to the pupils there about what it’s like working in the hospitality industry.
We’ve even got three work experience students coming in to spend some time at the restaurant to see for themselves what it’s like, get a taste for hospitality and develop their skills.
So, if you see some rather young-looking waiters at the restaurant this month, please join us in making them feel welcome.
