This month’s wine dinner
This month we hosted another wine dinner in Beaconsfield, this time exploring the wines of Miguel Torres Chile, a producer founded in the Curicó Valley in 1979. It was a fascinating evening of learning, great food and, of course, plenty of wine.
Travel lunch club: the Battle of Isandlwana
We recently hosted our travel lunch club, focusing this month on the Battle of Isandlwana. We were joined by Douglas Rattray, who gave an incredible talk inspired by the legacy of his late father, a well-known historian of the Anglo-Zulu War.
Congratulations to Nathan, our new senior chef de partie
Please join us in congratulating Nathan on his promotion to senior chef de partie. Nathan joined us in 2024 as a commis chef and has continued to develop within our kitchen team, showing incredible dedication and growth.
He originally studied business management, but his passion for cooking led him to pursue it as a career. Huge congratulations to Nathan, and we look forward to seeing him develop in his new role.

New Year's Eve lunch in Beaconsfield
Join us at The Greyhound on New Year’s Eve for a celebratory tasting menu lunch ahead of the countdown to 2027.
We’ll begin with Chalkstream trout with Granny Smith and horseradish, caramelised onion gougère and Tunworth, followed by Maldon oyster with cucumber and dill. Next comes wild mushroom tortellini with mushroom tea and chive.
For the main course, choose between guinea fowl en croûte with sauce vin jaune and celeriac, or pan-fried monkfish with celeriac and cognac beurre noisette.
To finish, enjoy warm Brie de Meaux with black truffle, followed by poached pear with granita and Poire William, then Veliche white chocolate with bergamot and blood orange.
